When Ju Fufu appeared, the world just cooled down. The sky was gray-blue, like some unnamed emotion. She came from Yunkui Mountain, and behind her was endless silence, like the unspeakable thoughts deep in the mountains.
No one really understood her, but just saw her holding a popcorn pot and spinning in the fire. People said she was a fire agent, a breaking character, S-level. But these definitions did not make it clear what she was. She just existed, quietly and lonely in a world entangled by data and damage formulas.
Her normal attack was divided into four parts, like a dream that refused to end. The first part was a test, the second part was approaching, the third part was entanglement, and the fourth part was a showdown. But many people always stopped at the second part because it was too fast and ended before they could get close.
Her skills were repeatedly analyzed in the crowd, but never really seen. Every time she swung the pot and every time she spun, it was an escape and a kind of silent struggle. And fire is her language. She doesn’t speak, but uses fire to express her long-suppressed anger and unwillingness.
She has [heat] and [heat rotation]. In her world, everything depends on heat to exist. Without heat, she can’t use real skills. Just like life, without emotions, you can’t live. Heat is the only trace she can leave.
Her “special skills” are like a tired woman using all her strength to fight against an incomprehensible world. Swinging, falling, slashing, every movement is like tearing an invisible layer of skin. The way she gets “heat” is not to give, but to burn herself.
Her “linked skills” are a manifestation of a kind of dependence on each other. She has been alone for too long, so once someone approaches, she will go all out. Even if it is just a short connection, she will pour out the flames in the pot, explode all the emotions, and become the final gift.
Her finishing move – “opening the pot” – always reminds people of an extreme state. When her “noise level” reaches the extreme value, she chooses to explode completely, using a popcorn pot to drop from the sky, attacking the enemy and smashing her own shell. Every finishing move is an inner collapse – perhaps only after the collapse can she be free.
Tachibana Fufu’s support skills are the most unforgettable part for me. She is not the kind of person who always stands in the center of the stage. She is more like a person who stands in the corner and observes everything. Only when you really fall down will she rush out to help you block the world’s blow. At that moment, she is really on the same side with you.
Her core skill is about the “popcorn pot” automatically attacking the enemy and accumulating heat. It sounds like some kind of automatic mechanism, but I see something deeper – this pot is like her only friend. After she finishes, it stays on the field to fight for her, like a loyal fire pet, unwilling to leave. She cuts out her soul and stays in the pot to continue living on her behalf.
Her “hot” state will increase the critical strike and finishing skill damage of the entire team. In the game, this is called “bonus”. But I always feel that this is not a “bonus”, it is something she gives silently. She doesn’t speak, doesn’t explain, but keeps helping you burn. You won’t even realize that it is she who makes you stronger.
Her imagery is also very symbolic.
M1 is to gain 100 heat upon entering the battlefield. Just like she was born with a burning load. M2 is when the team releases the finishing move, she will recover heat and will definitely hit critically. It means: she will only respond when others take action; and her response is always the most extreme. M4 and M6 allow her to gain strength after the “linked skills” and leave “wounds” on the enemy. She does not attack occasionally, but concentrates on repeatedly engraving words on a wound.
This is a character who constantly ignites herself. Her strength is a lonely strength. She must be seen as strong in order not to be forgotten. But the stronger she is, the less she can see the true softness inside. Ju Fufu doesn’t like to explain. She just spins and uses the pot to crack the whole world.
You think she is a character in the game, but she is a mirror image of many people in reality. She spins because she can’t stand; she burns because she has been cold for too long; she attacks because she has no choice.
Ju Fufu is not a character, but a word that has not been spoken.
It is the self that you always want to hide.
